When is drilling necessary?

When is drilling necessary?

Many jobs require drilling, for example:
Drilling wells: whether it’s to access groundwater or oil.
Geothermal drilling: to access and extract the earth’s heat.
Pile drilling to support a building on unstable ground: up to 2,000 millimeters in diameter and 70 meters deep.
Micropile drilling, in particular for the reinforcement of existing structures: between 150 and 200 mm in diameter and up to 30 meters deep.
Blast hole drilling for quarries.
Continuous flight augering maintains the walls of the borehole with the drill cuttings that are driven by the auger.
Drilling is most often done vertically, but it can also be horizontal or directional, for example for the placement of anchors.

BULK WATER TRUCK COURSE +2773 1582 436

The main use of a Water Cart is to drive around a mine site, dispensing water to provide dust suppression on site. Water Truck are one of the most important machines on sites as the site becomes inoperative without dust suppression solutions.

Water Trucks are as straightforward to drive as Dump Trucks, so they’re a great entry-level role to apply for.

If you have had any experience operating other machinery, it is easy to transition but for many jobseekers, fear gets in the way of applying for these jobs.

Even if you have the confidence to undertake Water Truck training, you may be concerned about the following:-

How would I handle something so big?
I’m too young/old/tall/short or large to be able to drive one
Driving a Water Truck is too far out of my comfort zone
Every job I’ve had in the past had NOTHING to do with operating machinery
Be assured that many people, from all career and study backgrounds and ages have completed the course easily. Our licensed trainers are mine-site professionals, who can help you gain the qualification (ticket) required to operate a bulk water truck to help open up a lucrative position within the mining industry. A bulk water truck training course is one sure way to help minimise your doubts and provide the necessary level of expertise required by the industry.

ABOUT THE COURSE:-
This NATIONALLY ACCREDITED course is:

The course is designed to teach you how to assist with dust suppression on site by safely operating and driving a bulk water truck, ensuring safer driving conditions for all.
You will be training on a site working under the Mining and Quarrying Act, carrying out the tasks relevant to the specified equipment and working with dust suppression.
Dedicated one-on-one bulk water truck training which includes real-time operation experience of operating a purpose-built vehicle.

WHO CAN UNDERTAKE THIS COURSE?
Both experienced and inexperienced operators of large vehicles and/or machinery can take the course.
You must be 18 years of age and hold a current driver’s licence (a minimum of a code 10 drivers license )
Please note: You are required to have basic English skills so if you have learning difficulties or are new to the country, please call us on 073 158 2436 so we can discuss how to move forward as there is every chance you will have the opportunity to complete your desired course to fulfil your goal of operating machinery within the mining industry.

WHY COMPLETE THIS COURSE?

Along with gaining the qualification to operate a bulk water truck on a mining site, those who reach the required standard will find industries such as quarrying and construction will also open up to them. Employers are also far more likely to offer a relevant position to someone who has completed the bulk water truck training course over an individual with no qualifications.

The bulk water truck is one of the most used vehicles to get a start in mining with and there are a number of reasons why this is so:-

Water carts are automatic so easy to operate
Combining this ticket with the dump truck will start you on your journey as a Multi-Skilled Operator and a larger pay packet.
COMPLETING THIS WATER CART TRAINING COURSE CAN INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF GAINING EMPLOYMENT as the employer knows that you have the basic skills to get in and operate the machine and abide by site driving protocols.
Many employers believe that doing training shows you are serious about your career, so you are generally favoured over those who have no tickets.
From an employer’s point of view, it is an asset to have someone who can operate both Dump Truck and Water Truck as they can use you in either machine when required, making you a more valuable employee.
The water truck training course is an ideal starting place for anyone wishing to gain access to entry-level jobs in mining and other associated industries throughout the Australian mainland and beyond. Our Training school offers dedicated one-on-one training to the industry required standard.

COURSE OUTLINE

This course has been created to provide you with an understanding and hands-on practical experience in the operation of a bulk water truck.

You will be provided with your own trainer and truck and will be operating on an active site where you will be assisting with the loading, transporting and distribution of bulk water, working under the CETA.

We take you through your training in a vehicle not dissimilar to that you would use in the day to day operations of bulk water distribution. This will allow you to get the feel of operating a vehicle larger than you are used to and to get familiar with all aspects of the operation without being overwhelmed.

You will gain practical and theoretical knowledge of the following and more besides:

  • How to pre-check of the vehicle – when operating machinery it is important to check the machine for any defects or issues
  • Knowledge of truck interior and the function of all the equipment
  • Horn signalling – used to signal when entering and leaving the sites
  • Positive radio communications
  • Mine site safety protocols with regards to machinery operations
  • Driving the vehicle empty and fully loaded
  • Driving on site with other machinery
  • Emergency braking
  • Controlling the truck in slippery conditions
  • Reversing up to equipment for loading and unloading
  • Correct distribution techniques
  • Completion of production forms
  • Tagging out of equipment

BULK WATER TRUCK TRAINING COURSE DURATION +27731582436

Our Training bulk water truck training course runs at our Ipswich site where you will be working under the Mining and Quarry Act.

If combined with the dump truck course, the time spent in either machine may be used towards “time in seat” due to the fact that both machines you will be operating are CAT 773’s, so you will be getting driving experience no matter which truck you are in.
