The President of Tanzania, John Pombe Magufuli refuted parliament's declaration to extend his ruling term in an office for a third term.

Today parliamentary house of Tanzania held a ssesion to deliberate on the extension of Dr. John Pombe Magufuli term in an office amid covid-19 and later passed unanimous resolution which grants him a third term.

After resolution , Dr. John Pombe Magufuli turned down parliamentarians decision and said, wants citizens to pray for him so that he can complete his term successfully and pave a way for new successor. He said, constitution does not permit third term and he must respect constitution.
