A Load Haul Dumper (LHD) is a type of mining equipment that is used to move ore and waste rock within a mine. LHD scoop training typically involves both classroom instruction and hands-on training. The course is for NQF Level 2, 4 credits with SAQA ID 244476. The LHD Scoop training would cover the following topics:

• Safety procedures: The trainee will learn about the safety precautions that must be taken when operating an LHD Scoop, such as wearing personal protective equipment, following traffic rules, and avoiding hazards.
• LHD Scoop operation: The trainee will learn how to properly operate the LHD, including how to start and stop the machine, navigate through the mine, and load and unload materials.
• Maintenance: The trainee will learn how to perform routine maintenance on the LHD, such as checking fluid levels, changing filters, and troubleshooting common problems.
• Emergency procedures: The trainee will learn how to handle emergency situations, such as dealing with equipment failure or power outages.
• Compliance with regulations: The trainee will be familiarized with the regulations and guidelines that apply to the operation of LHDs.
