Parts and Functions of a Lift Truck: Naming the parts and purpose of each part of a lift truck, for correct operation.
Principles of Operation: Explaining how a counterbalanced lift truck works, and how this affects the operation of the forklift in the workplace. Reading the information from a load specification plate to decide on the load mass and height for the forklift being operated
Lift Truck Safety: Discussing lift truck safety and how it affects the driving of a forklift in the workplace.
Daily Checks: Using the daily checklist to check the forklift for safe operation in the workplace
Reporting any defects discovered during the daily checks.
