Conducted by experienced instructors in a fully equipped welding school, the mulani practical welding training programme helps students improve their welding skills to consistently produce quality welds. Students who qualify are awarded a certificate of competency that is recognized by the market place.

The practical welding training programmed is aimed at all skills levels - from inexperienced beginners to highly experienced welders lacking formal qualifications.

Training is adjusted to suit individual requirements with regard to the following:

Welding process(Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc and Flux Cord Arc Material of choice(stainless steel, carbon steel or aluminium) The position you would like to achieve (flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead).

Training for beginners commences with fillet welding (all positions), progresses to plate welding (all positions) and culminates in pipe welding. Experienced welders have the option of going directly on to testing without prior training.

ACCESS CONDITIONS

Appropriate health, physical and mental capability is assumed to gain entry to the course. Good eye-hand coordination is essential. Access to higher levels is allowed providing the candidate successfully demonstrates the required practical skill.

OUTCOME OF TRAINING

The outcome depends on the student's ability to deposit sound weld metal in any joint with a process and position of your choice. Successful students will receive a certificate of competency detailing current level of skill.

TRAINING EVALUATION

Performance testing will be carried out in accordance with qualified welding procedures to AWS 01.1, ASME IX or EN 287-1.
